Workplace Crushes are the Worst.

I go into work soon. He's working I already know but im.....yeah. we will see. hes so my type that its scary. as soon as we saw each other it was like SCHA-WING!!!

This is so cute. I hope the new job works out and that you're not too distracted by the Leo doppelganger. I'd be trying to bump into him every chance I got, celibacy or not, lol. It's good that you're getting a sort of assistance through this in coping with your breakup, too.

I can identify with how you're feeling; I had a workplace crush once. I told him and he wasn't interested but we're friends still (we follow each other on Tumblr, lol). It was frustrating at the time because I was getting in trouble for exchanging emails with him through our server which the higher-ups deemed unprofessional, though there was nothing untoward in them. We were also on different shifts and since we never really hung out with anyone else there, we took our breaks together when possible and I would be coming back two, three, even five minutes late from breaks sometimes and they are time Nazis there. I hope I don't have another workplace crush!

Go on a date and then never talk to me again just to end up with another girl. I could go on. "You arent girlfriend material"...

Damn.

Aww, this is so cute! And I hope that things work out and if it doesn't end up in a romantic relationship, I'm sure you'd be good friends. He sounds like a really nice guy so far .

*sigh* I'm kinda sorta having a workplace crush too. Well, I won't see him until school starts again in August though so I might be over it and he might be different by then so who knows. It's funny because I was not looking and checking for anyone at all like, I literally ignored any and every guys existence (which is a first because I'm literally the most hopeless romantic/multiple crush having person ever). But long story short, my behavior was like this because I was trying to get over this one guy Ben and at that point I just didn't want to be bothered with getting my hopes up only to have them knocked down (I'll expand on him in the next post).

But anyways, I started a new job on campus this february and on my second week I happened to meet this guy named Tyler. I kind of noticed him but at the same time I was still in a moopy mood so I didn't pay too much attention to him. I remember I was standing in the doorway just watching him and some other crew members making pizza and laughing at their jokes (being really new at the time) and he made some comment to me when I laughed at one of his jokes. I guess he noticed me then because from that day on he seemed to be doing everything to get my attention. Literally from the second shift we had together he started picking with me and I started picking with him and we just kept joking with each other the whole shift and he didn't waste any time playfully patting my head (he's a lot taller than me) but yet he didn't touch anyone else. 

When the next shift that we worked together came up I remember sitting in the office waiting to be told what to do that shift and he came in and sat right next to me and turned his head right towards me and started talking to me. He again did the same routine of teasing me and I started to notice that he'd kind of hover and be in the same area as me wherever I went. He also placed his hands on my shoulders randomly while he was behind me once. On that shift he was in charge of restocking the popcorn (we work concessions) and he made sure to have mine filled regularly at my register while teasing me every time he came by. Sometimes he would just stand there near me when he didn't have to restock the popcorn which would distract me and I would tell him to move and when he didn't I'd playfully push him away. I jokingly asked him why he only picked on me and to pick with someone else and he just said "you really want me to?" and I told him yes but he just went off to make popcorn and talk to other crew members but didn't pick with anyone lol. We eventually started up again with the teasing and when I went on my break he came out on his right when I was headed back into the stand lol. When the stand got less busy he noticed me trying to beat this game on my phone (2048) and he said he knew how to beat it so I gave him my phone and he stood there next to me trying to get the 2048 tile while I watched. At the end of that shift he walked next to me and even took a shortcut with me and another coworker after we clocked out even though he could have went the other way. We also got invited to a party by a coworker that was the next day.

So fast forward to the next night, I meet up with the coworker Kyle to head out to this party and although one part of me is hoping Tyler shows up, the other is thinking he probably won't. Well we get to the party and ummmm... I went a tad overboard that night (first time I got drunk and only remember bits and pieces). I remember that he did show up to the party though and I gave him a hug and I remember at one point I was outside with a bunch of other coworkers and I was yelling for someone to bring "Tylers cute a** out there" *cringes* and then the rest of the night I just danced and ummm... told a bunch of guys they were cute and then I danced alot with this one guy and ended up telling him about how more white guys should date black girls because alot of us are interested. So yeah... I got back safely though and crashed at my coworkers place thankfully. I also heard that Tyler brought a girl to that party but I only remember seeing him that night so who knows.


So, for like a week I didn't have any shifts with Tyler so I didn't see him. Then, on one weekend we had a shift but I had to be there over an hour earlier than him for opening. I was super nervous and I just decided to play it cool and act like I wasn't into him like that. At first he came in and he didn't really talk for a while (still early in the morning too at this point) so I just got out my phone and busied myself. To my surprise though he started talking to me and teasing me again and did the whole hover thing and still stood next to me whenever his register wasn't busy. He'd also bump me and ask me to play that hand slap game but I would purposely mess it up. When more of our coworkers started coming in he still only really talked to me and even when he asked a question he would look directly at me first when asking then ask other people. He also asked me if I was going to be working with concessions next year and when I told him yes he said he'd be looking forward to picking with me since I'm the only one he likes to mess with. At one point he literally had the nerve to drink off of my straw though lol. I had mixed these two juices together and found that it was really good and told him to try it (as in make his own) but he just grabbed my cup and took a few sips like it was the most natural thing in the world smh. But the rest of the shift went well. My shift ended earlier than his that day so I left BUT I found out after that shift that it was our last shift together that semester . 


So now we'll see if anything unfolds next semester . Even though the signs are there that he's interested (touching, teasing, being close by, etc.), I still don't want to get my hopes up though if things don't go anywhere :l. I try not to think too much about him in my spare time lol. *sigh* and he's so funny and goofy (in the corniest way just like me), takes his grades seriously, goal oriented, and he's tall, brown hair, brown eyes, beard,  and just unf. And to mention he's the cutest thing interacting with the kids when they would come up to the stands, I'm an Elementary Education major and I LOVE kids and working with them so I definitely noted that about him too .

... I can't believe I just wrote all that, sorry yall. Umm.. I hope this all made sense lol.

You know how you think someone is into you but then you aren't sure but yet your gut knows you are? Yeah that's how this is. I like the job too much to do anything about it but damn the tension
