Hi girls,
I create a thread here to talk about hair, natural to be more specific, but I think that we can talk about anything else.
My first question is: Did you see Jouelzy's video about the discrimination between hair type in the natural hair community? What is your thought?

Hey Missk, cool that you want to talk about hair. I haven't seen the video, but i will like to see it when I have time. The reason I wrote to you, is because I have a problem with my hair. My hair is really short, but curly (It's a little bit shorter than your hair, on your profile picture I personally like it, but I live in a community where the majority is white. And some people like it while other think it's to short. I just finished elementery school yesterday, so after the summer i'm starting in high school. And i'm not sure if I should go natural or have braids on? WHat would you do. <3 <3

Hi Clair,
Thank you for your answer.
I think that you should wear your hair the way you want it. If you like them short and natural, wear it like this.
Personally, I'm natural since february 2012 and I started let them grow in May 2013 (1 year natural!!), and since I'm natural I've always wear my hair without braids or anything else...Free.
There will always be some people that would tell you that's too short or messy, and other pejorative adjectives, but the most important thing is how you want wear it. Just enjoy your hair.

I agree, in most of the videos that receive alot of views the girls have mostly the same texture or a looser curl. I just adjust my transitioning routine according to all of the videos but I mostly rely on the kinkier gurus.

I saw the video! I concurred with all the points she made, I sometimes wonder if girls go through the lengths of texcturising it to make their curls looser , and just call it natural . #justathought It always reverts back to if you have white in you or anything that AINT black.

Hey guys, I'm a relaxed hair girl and have been for about 6 years (I'm 16) but after about a year of deliberation I've decided to go natural. I'd been natural all my life until 10 but my mum always cared for my hair. I'd really appreciate any tips from people who have transitioned, I plan to transition long term instead of doing a big chop. Any helpful information is welcome! Thanks
